So, I got a call and it‘s official...! It still feels so unreal especially after the last few weeks of constant cancellations BUT I will be making my unexpected debut as ZERBINETTA at staatsoperberlin this September!!! I am beyond thankful and I can‘t wait to go back on stage and share all the vibrations and energies of music with this dream role and so many friends involved in this production!

Today we are starting with a true gem: Massenets MANON in the staging of Vincent Paterson from 2007. Conducted by Daniel Barenboim and with Anna Netrebko and Rolando Villazón! The video will stay available for 24h!

The World Opera day also makes me a little sad every year. I spent my whole childhood and youth on the opera stage. Sometimes I was present every day at the staatsoperberlin for rehearsals or performances... but unfortunately it was not enough for the opera as a profession. 😢 So today, at least on the piano, I try to create a bit of opera atmosphere ! 🎹❤️ (The picture shows me with the great director Ruth Berghaus at a rehearsal of Alban Berg's "Wozzeck" at the Staatsoper Berlin - 1984). 😊

Берлинская государственная опера была построена ещё во времена Фридриха Великого. В 1742 году. Через практически 100 лет был создан фонд для работников оперы, попавших в нищенское положение. Во время Второй мировой, в 1941 году во время бомбардировки опера пострадала, но по приказу Гитлера была восстановлена и уже в 1942 году прошёл концерт Вагнера, на который был приглашён ближайший друг Гитлера Г-н Кубичек.
В 1945 опера опять пострадала и только в 2010 году начинают реальные реставрационные работы, которые приводят к открытию оперы в 2017 году.
Я долго собиралась вместе с семьёй посетить историческую оперу Берлина!!!!
И вот наконец моя дочь заявила, что хочет на Рождество, в качестве подарка, билет в оперу.
Это было грандиозно!!! Волшебно!!! Искренне!!! Талантливо!!!
